IT is really good to see that our prime minister is ambitious about having underground metro in Karachi.
Constructing first the underground metro line from Jinnah Airport to the Karachi Expo Centre and in the next phase its extension to downtown with exit points to major hotels will make Karachi more safe and secure for exhibitors, businessmen and general visitors.
This will help in boosting trade and economy.

Mr. Qadri's proposal is right. I believe that fom Expo Centre the branch should be extended to the area near near Jinnah Court which is near to the City Centre and also where most of the hotels exist. Next branch may go partallel to I.I.Chundrigar Road to the Tower and then to PNSC Buliding location. But to start with Mr. Qadri's proposal may be estimated.

Keep dreaming. Over head train, and how many times it will fall on people's head on the ground?
Under ground, gangsters best choice for mugging passengers. (cell phones, laptops)

No. Underground Railway is not a possible scenario. If you build underground railway, where would the poor- political militants go when chased in Karachi? You will be disturbing their whole-underground underworld.

They have yet to show any competence in running trains serving various localities of the city above ground, how can they run any below ground.
Going below ground is much much expensive venture than to be able to run trains above ground. They should show competency in their ability to run trains above ground first.
The best system that comes to mind serving a city is light railway also known as trams. Why laying track system for electric trams is not under consideration?
