Physical education

Physical education is an important part of academia as it helps children get a healthy body and mind. But unfortunately in Pakistan not much importance is being given to this subject and in many schools, there is no proper arrangement to conduct classes of physical education. Only a physically fit and healthy young generation can serve our country in the long run and to achieve this mission, it’s our government’s responsibility to provide all public sector schools with proper play areas. Playgrounds should be built in every locality of all cities and towns.

A girl’s best friend

This is with reference to the cover story “A girl’s best friend” by Wajeeha Rehan (July 6, 2013). Besides having real relationships such as the one we have with our mother, sister or friends, we can also find a mate in our dolls. A doll has always been a girl’s favourite toy and Barbie, through its refined and glamorous looks, has always impressed girls. It’s every little girl’s dream to own a Barbie.

Some relations are very special

This is with reference to the article “Some relations are very special” by Manahil Nadeem (YW, June 29, 2013). It’s true that one faithful friend is enough to spend a happy and fulfilled life than having hundreds of fake and disloyal friends who leave us alone in times of need.

The greatest walking fish

This is a feedback to the piece “The greatest walking fish” compiled by Aamnah Kamal (YW, July 4, 2013). I am grateful to the writer for giving us information about such an amazing creature. I request the YW team to continue publishing such interesting and informative stuff.

Cool summer hairstyle

The story “Cool summer hairstyle” by Sadia Maqsood (YW, July 6, 2013) was an interesting story about hair issues during scorching summer. It’s really hard to manage and take care of long hair in summer; it’s quite irritating, indeed! Therefore, it’s better to get the hair trimmed.

The overseas and away father

This refers to the article “The overseas and away father” by Madiha Akhtar (YW, June 15, 2013). A father plays an important role in a child’s life and if he lives away, it really hurts! Even if they are in touch through phone calls, emails and letters, his absence is always felt.
