LAHORE, May 2: In anticipation of the International Thalassaemia Day (May 8), the Punjab Thalassaemia Prevention Programme is observing a thalassaemia awareness and prevention week from Saturday (tomorrow).
According to a press release issued here on Thursday, seminars, pre-marital screening camps and walks would be arranged in 16 districts (Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Vehari, Khanewal, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh, Bahawalnagar, Jhelum, Attock and Toba Tek Singh) of Punjab. The first seminar will be organised at Fatima Jinnah Medical College on Saturday in this regard.
