KARAK/DERA ISMAIL KHAN, April 21: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has said that he will salvage the nation from the American slavery and restore lasting peace to the region, if voted to power.

He was speaking at election rallies in Karak and Dera Ismail Khan during a daylong tour of southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday to formally launch the PTI election campaign.

Mr Khan told mammoth public gatherings that a “new Pakistan” would emerge after three weeks, where people would live with peace and the plunderers of national wealth would be taken to task.

The PTI chief said that after coming to power he would break the shackles of US slavery and would generate revenue by utilising the country’s own resources.

He said that he would call back the army from the tribal areas and pull out the country from the US war to establish peace in the region. The military would not be used against own citizen of the country, he said and added that peace was the first condition for investment in the country.

The PTI chairman resolved that problems with Afghanistan would be resolved through negotiations, and the army and the nation would be saved.

He reiterated that he would fulfil the pledges he had made with the people and would not make hollow promises to deceive masses like the past rulers. He said that if masses wanted to get rid of Zardaris and Sharifs they should vote for the PTI.

Mr Khan said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan People’s Party had had their turn to rule the country and added that Maulana Fazlur Rehman enjoyed equal share in government with them.

He said that those responsible for the current rotten system could not change it. The tax evaders could not lead the nation, he and added that the ‘new Pakistan’ would be free of corrupt elements.

The PTI chairman claimed that they was fighting for the rights of masses and added that from today they should stand with his party for their rights.  He asked the people that they had got the opportunity to change the destiny of the nation and therefore they should support the PTI in May 11 general election.

Mr Khan said that the PTI had introduced young leadership in the politics and their capabilities would help in formation of a ‘new Pakistan’. He said that his party had awarded tickets to 250 candidates, who were below 40 years of age.

He urged the young generation to join hands for the victory of PTI in coming elections. He said that after assuming power, the PTI would pursue relations with world nations according to the wishes of people. He said that if voted to power, they would resolve the basic problems of Karak and D.I. Khan.

Mr Khan said that provision of university and big playground would be ensured for the people of Karak besides providing them funds of Sui gas royalty.
