KARACHI: KWSB dues recovery

KARACHI, May 12: Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister on Finance Aftab Ahmed Sheikh has directed immediate steps for the recovery of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board’s (KWSB) Rs3 billion dues owed by government offices.

Presiding over a meeting to review the financial affairs of the KWSB at his office on Monday, he said that in future the officials of district government and Nazim should also be invited to meetings so that immediate steps could be taken for the solution of water problems.

The adviser informed the meeting that the government had decided to improve the KWSB’s functioning in view of the water problems being faced by the people.

He said that proper measures were being adopted to ensure the recovery of the dues.—APP
