I AM a customer originally of one mobile phone company and have been residing in Malir Cantt, Karachi, for many years.

Recently, the services of the phone company deteriorated so much that I had to switch over to another phone company.

Shortly this company also gave me a rough time for at least 10 days due to weak signals in the area.

Calling the helpline is a torturous experience; calls not being attended promptly, boring the customer on the other end by nonsensical musical interludes and endless advertisements; even useless SMSs are being sent very frequently.

In view of the above experience, I request for the convenience of a large number of customers in Malir Cantt. that cellphone operators be asked to open their customer services centre in my locality.

Going to the city is hazardous in these days of lawlessness and at present the respective centres are situated in far-flung areas.
