BANNU, March 6: A union council nazim was killed when his car was hit by a bomb planted on a road near here on Friday.

Khairullah Khan, the nazim of Kaki union council, accompanied by aide Shafiullah was coming to Bannu.

His car was hit by the bomb near Pirkhel Kaki.

Khairullah Khan died on the spot. Shafiullah was injured and taken to the DHQ hospital.

Bannu’s DPO Mohammad Iqbal said the bomb had been detonated by remote control.
