Pakistan marches into finals at Asia Cup Baseball

LAHORE: Pakistan have marched into the final of the 8th Asia Cup Baseball, defeating Hong Kong 7-2 run in Bangkok, Thailand.

In the final, Pakistan will take on Indonesia, who have qualified after beating Sri Lanka 7-4 run in their semi-final.
According to information received here, both Pakistan and Hong Kong could not score any run in first two innings. In the third innings, however, Pakistan made two runs through Imtiaz and Farooq.

Hong Kong failed to open the account in this innings, too. In the fourth innings Pakistan failed to add any run, while HK scored one. The fifth innings was barren, but in the sixth innings, Pakistan plundered two more runs through Imtiaz and Nasir while Hong Kong also made one run.

In the seventh innings Pakistan added three more runs through Zaheer, Nasir and Usman, while Hong Kong failed to earn any run. No score was made in the eighth and the ninth innings.

The final will be played on Saturday. By winning the final, Pakistan will qualify for the Asian Senior League of six nations, which is being held in Japan in July this year. By beating any one team of the Senior League, Pakistan will qualify for the 2010-Asian Games.
