St Patrick’s beat BVS to clinch inter-school football title

KARACHI: St Partick’s High School won the final of the Diya Inter-School Football Tournament by beating BVS Parsi High School 4-0 in the U-19 age group on Friday.

The goals for St Pat’s were scored by frontrunners Mohammad Yunus, Imran Abdullah, Umar Yunus and Waqar Abdul Sattar.

In the third-place match, L’ecole for Advanced Studies edged past City Grammar School (CGS) 1-0. The winning goal was scored by Asad Zafar.

Meanwhile, individual prizes were also given out to Omar Iqbal of L’ecole (Best Defender), Atif of Cordoba A-Level School (Best Midfielder) and Imran Abdullah of St Pat’s (Highest Scorer) with nine goals.— Sports Reporter
