LAHORE: The Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP) is still hopeful that the Federal Sports Ministry will issue them an NOC enabling their team to go to China to take part in the Asian Championship being held there from Nov 10 to 14.

The AFP team plans to leave for China on Nov 8.

‘We have received China’s visa, too, on Thursday and are still trying to get the NOC from the Federal Sports Ministry,’ AFP Secretary Khalid Mahmood told Dawn.

‘Inshallah the matter will be resolved amicably and the team will leave for China to take part in the mega event,’ he said.—Sports Reporter
