NEW YORK: Pakistan’s Aisamul Haq Qureshi and his men’s doubles partner Jarkko Nieminen of Finland lost their second round match to second seeded Daniel Nestor (Canada) and Nenad Zimonjic (Serbia) on Saturday.

Pakistan’s lone representative at Flushing Meadows, Qureshi and Finland’s number one Nieminen lost in straight sets, 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 in the second round match that lasted an hour and 20 minutes.

Qureshi and Nieminen made 10 unforced errors, compare to the winners’ 13 but their fewer winners (26) as compared to Nestor and Zimonjic (40) proved vital in the final outcome of the match.
