LAHORE: Pakistan Premier Football League’s (PPFL) 126th encounter saw Chaman’s Afghan FC recording a slender 1-0 win over Nushki’s Baloch FC at Chaman’s Government High School Ground on Thursday.

The two teams played roughly throughout the 90 minutes with the keepers of both sides – Jehangir Khan (Afghan FC) and Sher Zaman (Baloch FC) – in no mood to allow the ball to go past them.

But the 73rd minute provided the lone goal when Sher Zaman failed to block midfielder Abdul Nasir’s drive.

As a result, Nushki’s players were furious with assistant referee Abdul Pukar for not having signaled the offside and Nushki’s central defender Mohammad Tariq resorted to manhandle Pukar. He was eventually sent out of the arena after being shown a red card by referee Saeed Shah.

Both teams have now completed 19 matches with Afghan FC collecting 16 points and Baloch FC two.

Friday’s fixtures: PMC Athletico v KRL at Agriculture University Ground, Faisalabad; PEL v Army at MTFA Ground, Lahore. Matches kick off at 4.00pm. —Agencies
