LARKANA: The country is passing through a crisis and any wrong decision would land it into more chaos as was witnessed in the past, said Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (F) Senator Dr Khalid Mehmood Soomro on Tuesday at a reception party.
He supported the mid-term polls subject to the government’s approval and cautioned against losing in the changing situation.
The Senator claimed the US of vying to install the MQM Chief Altaf Hussain as the country’s next president and reprimanded Mr Hussain to refrain from supporting Qadianis whom the Z.A. Bhutto government had declared non-Muslims. He further declared that the JUI would not hesitate in giving any sacrifice for the up-keep of Khatm-i-Nabuwwat.
The Punjab governor was also supporting Qadianis he said and advised the JUI workers to spread out in every nook and corner of the country for imparting the truth to people in the fast-changing scenario.
He said that there was no merit as the government jobs were being auctioned and also alleged siphoning off funds worth Rs860,000,000 from the Larkana Development Package.
'We support development but the government should ensure transparency in the current projects,' said Senator Soomro.
The people, he said, voted for the PPP for the sake of Z.A. Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto and only the efficient would return to Parliament in next elections with the inept losing the race.
Sindh being rich in natural resources saved Rs300 billion from oil and gas reserves, annually he said adding that full exploration of Thar coal could help in producing enough electricity to meet the country’s need of more than 200 years, as per the estimates of experts.
