Four militants killed in Mohmand

GHALANAI: Four suspected militants were killed and three others injured in a clash with security forces in Mohmand Agency on Wednesday.

Sources said a group of militants attacked the Baidmani checkpost in Baizai tehsil with heavy weapons at about 1.30am. Four militants, including two Afghan nationals, were killed when troops returned fire.

This was the second attack on the post in two days. Two security men and 11 militants were killed in an attack on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, a girls’ school was blown up in Aranda village of Shabqadar area.

The school building was destroyed. However, no casualty was reported because schools in the area were closed.
