QUETTA: The provincial capital of Balochistan, Quetta, and most parts of the province have plunged into darkness after power supply from 220KV transmission line from Guddu was interrupted.

QESCO Chief Shafique Khattak told DawnNews that due to some technical problem at the Guddu Power Plant, power supply to Quetta and other parts of Balochistan have been suspended.

Khattak says efforts to ensure immediate restoration of power to the city and other parts of Balochistan are underway.

He says authorities are also trying to provide power supply to Quetta from Habibullah coastal power plant as an alternative.—DawnNews
