KARACHI: President Awami National Party (ANP) Sindh Shahi Syed Friday informed Central President ANP Asfandyar Wali in written about the continuous lack of support from the Sindh government to his party and asked for its final opinion regarding the current situation.
An ANP spokesperson from Baachaa Khan Centre said provincial leaders of the ANP have written a report to the central leadership informing them about being neglected by the Sindh government as the government is not taking ANP into confidence on important matters. The ANP has always cooperated with the Sindh government in maintaining the law and order situation in the province, but it has adopted the policy of ignoring the ANP on important issues, he said.
It was further stated in the report that ANP was not included in the Sindh Core Committee; no consultation was made regarding local bodies system, education and medical policy; ANP was not included in important meetings with the president and prime minister when they came to Karachi regarding the law and order situation; CDGK did not initiate developmental works in Pakhtun areas and that ANP members had not been given time for meetings from the last one month.
ANP Sindh has informed the central leadership about the workers, who were angry about being ignored, and said that it is difficult to maintain coalition with the Sindh Government because ANP represents Pakhtuns in the province.—PPI
