QUETTA: At least three persons have been injured in a bomb explosion inside a juice shop on Mezan Chowk on Tuesday.

‘Some unknown persons had kept a bomb in the portion specified for female[s] in the shop that exploded with big bang injuring three persons,’ police told Dawn.

The injured were shifted to civil hospital for medical treatment where the doctors described their condition as out of danger. Police and personnel of other law enforcement agencies rushed towards the site soon after the blast which caused panic in the commercial hub of the city.

‘Two women came to the shop and ordered a juice, and as they left the bomb exploded,’ owner of the shop told police.

In the meantime, the women wing of Baloch Republican Army claimed the responsiblity of the blast. It was the second such incident claimed by previously unknown women wing of BRA. The first incident had also taken place in a juice shop near the busy Liaquat Bazar.
