PARACHINAR: Eight more people were killed in clashes between rival factions in the Kurram Agency on Thursday.

Local people said fresh clashes in the Baleshkhel area left eight people dead and several others injured.

The two tribes targeted each other’s positions with heavy weapons, including mortars, rockets and Kalashnikovs.

Elders of the areas, meanwhile, expressed concern over what they called lukewarm attitude of the government, saying it had failed to resolve the issue.
