Police arrest 35 activists of banned organisation

ISLAMABAD: Margalla police Islamabad on Saturday arrested 35 activists of defunct organization Hizb ul Tehreer when they were holding a meeting at their office in House No. 8, Street No. 9 sector F-8/3, the police spokesman said.

The nabbed activists were shifted to Margallah police station. Police sources told the maximum names of the arrested persons.

According to them, they were identified as Bilal Awan, Ch. Waqar, Muhammad Imran, Zaheer Khan, Ghulam Nabi, Junaid Khan, Usman, Sarfaraz Khalid, Saif Ullah, Usman Jamshed, Raja Junaid, Ahsan Manzoor, Irfan Ali, Zameer, Rameez, Aqeel Israr, Rizwan, Zakir Azeem, Muhammad Reehan, Abuld Aziz, Adnan Qureshi, Nauman Hamza, Majid Hussain, Abdullah, Hamza Zahid, Muhammad Shoaib, Tahir Sadzai, Abid Mehmud, Muhammad Akmal, Osama Qureshi and Habib Khan.

Police spokesman said that police raiding team recovered literature, mobile phones, banners and also impounded 15 vehicles and computers.—APP
