Islamabad police arrests 18 people

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police on Wednesday arrested 18 outlaws from various areas of the city on different charges and recovered two kilograms of charas (hashish) and four 30 bore pistols from their possession.

Sub-Inspector Aashiq of Sabzi Mandi police station arrested a woman Chanaran Bibi during routine patrolling and recovered two kilograms of hashish from her.

Four other persons were arrested from various areas for being in possession of 30 bore pistols each. They were identified as Gul Zeb, Waqar Ahmed, Yasir and Ashfaq.

Meanwhile, Koral Police raided a house in Police Foundation Colony and arrested 13 persons including nine women for their alleged involvement in immoral activities.

SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan appreciated the performance of the policemen for arresting these criminals and directed to take stern action against anti-social elements.—APP
