PESHAWAR: Two volunteer workers were critically injured while one was missing as a damaged building in Peshawar's Meena Bazaar blast collapsed.

After the departure of rescue teams from the spot on Saturday, volunteer workers had stepped in to clear the remaining debris when the building suddenly collapsed.

Locals immediately recovered two injured workers and shifted them to the Lady Reading Hospital. Search for the third worker was still underway.

The area people claimed they had asked the government to demolish all buildings severely damaged in the deadly blast.

Meanwhile, the shops surrounding Meena Bazaar reopened after five days.

But Meena Bazaar, Kochi Bazaar and Kareempura still remain closed as traders are not satisfied with the security. — DawnNews
