Strike paralyses regular activity in Balochistan

National Party, Balochistan National Party (Mengal), Baloch National Front, Baloch Republican Party, Baloch National Movement and three factions of Baloch Students Organization have collectively called for a shutter down strike for Friday and Saturday and Wheel Jam strike on Sunday to protest against the killing of Ghulam Muhammad Baloch chairman of BNM, Lala Munir Baloch executive member of party and Sher Muhammad Baloch of BRP whose dead bodies were found in Turbat on Wednesday night.
The strike paralyzed the commercial activity in the provincial capital and district headquarters due to effective observance of the shutter down strike as all trading centres and shops remained closed on Friday.
The strike was also observed in Nushki, Dalbandin, Mastung, Kalat, Khuzdar, Gwadar, Pasni, Panjgur, Turbat, Hub, Chaman, Loralai, Ziarat, Pishin, Bolan, Sibi, Dera Murad Jamali and Dera Allahyar.
The lawyers boycotted the proceedings of the courts on the call of Balochistan bar association, Balochistan high court bar association and Baloch bar association and the boycott would also be observed on Saturday.
The government closed all educational institutions including Balochistan and Bolan Medical College till Sunday.
However, the strike did not affect the functioning of the government offices and Banks and traffic in the Quetta but the attendance in offices and running of vehicles on roads were thin.
Ghabana Namaz-i-Janaza of three deceased were offered at Liaquat Park that was joined by Senator Dr, Malik Baloch, Senator Mir Hasil Bizenjo and Dr. Hayee Baloch of National Party, Ali Ahmed Kurd president of SCBA, Arbab Zahir Kasi central vice president of ANP, Usman Kakar of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, Abdul Khaliq Hazara secretary general of Hazara Democratic Party, Kamran Murtaza of JUI-Fazl, Khuda Noor Khan of PML-N, Amanullah Baloch advocate president of BBA, Shakeel Ahmed Hadi president of BHCBA and members of BRA, BNF, BNM, BNP-Mengal, JWP, BSO and Anjuman Tajran.
Meanwhile political parties, students’ organizations, Human rights organization, labour and workers unions, anjuman tajran and tribal elders while condemning the tragic incident demanded to probe it in order to bring facts before the people to punish the killers.
In separate statements Maulana Senator Abdul Ghafoor Haidari of JUI-Fazl, Nawabzada Talal Bugti of JWP, Usman Kakar of PMAP, Khudadad Khan of ANP, Maulana Asmatullah MNA of JUI-Ideological, Bismiullah Khan Kakar of PPP, Sardar Yaqoob Nasar of PML-N, Hamayun Khan of PML-Q, Kohzad Hazara of Hazara Democratic Party, Allama Maqsood Ali Domki of Tehrik Jafaria Balochistan, Mir Allah Bux of Samalani Qaumi Tehrik and Haji Muhammad Ashaq Achakzai of Anjuman-i-Tajran, Daud Shah Achakzai of Muslim Students Federation, Khan Zaman of Balochistan labour federation condemned the extra-judicial killing of three Baloch political leaders.
They demanded that the government should immediately arrest the culprits that were involved in the heinous crime by targeting three important political leaders and maintained that without nabbing the killers the government would be unable to expose the real conspirators that had already targeting the innocent persons.
