QUETTA: The Frontier Corps has denied reports about military operations in Balochistan and clarified that it is just guarding national installations in Dera Bugti district.

In a statement on Thursday, an FC spokesman claimed that there was no operation in any area of Balochistan.

Sher Mohammad Bugti, a spokesman for the Baloch Republican Party, had alleged earlier this week that military operations were under way in Dera Bugti, Sui, Jaffarabad, Nasirabad and Kohlu.

However, the FC spokesman said that FC personnel retaliated only after militants attacked tribesmen or national installations.

‘Neither is there any helicopter nor is any plane being used in Balochistan,’ he said.
