Seven Pakistani fishermen kidnapped by Indians

THATTA: Personnel of the Indian navy intruded into Pakistan’s territorial waters on Thursday and kidnapped seven fishermen along with their fishing vessel.

According to the chief of the Pakistan Fisherfolk Association, the violation by Indians took place along the Shah Bandar coast, near Sir Creek.

Syed Mohammad Ali Shah identified the fishermen as Mohammad Bilawal, Manzoor, Jahangir, Zainul Abideen, Abdul Shakoor, Mohammad Nawaz and Hanif.

He said the fishermen were badly beaten by the Indians before being taken away.

According to Mohammad Ali Shah, this was the second such incident over the past fortnight. In the previous incident, 25 fishermen were kidnapped by the Indian navy.
