RAWALPINDI: The Lahore High Court observed on Wednesday that the government could not dictate nuclear scientist Dr A.Q. Khan about his security because there should be a difference between security and detention.

A division bench comprising Justice Nasir Saeed Sheikh and Justice Khawaja Imtiaz Ahmed put off hearing of an intra-court appeal of the federal government till Nov 16 after the counsel of both sides agreed to the court’s suggestion that they should amicably and mutually resolve the issue of security of the scientist without affecting his freedom.
