A meeting of the committee, which met here on Thursday with Begum Nasim Chaudhry in the chair, discussed the NRO.
The committee comprises Justice (retd) Fakhrunnisa Khokhar, Tariq Shabbir, Mrs Shakila Khanum Rashid, Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor, Muhammad Ijaz Virk, S. Zafar Ali Shah, Saeed Ahmad Zafar and Syed Naveed Qamar (PPP), Zahid Hamid, Justice (retd) Iftikhar Ahmed Cheema, Anusha Rehman and Saira Afzal Tararr (PML-N), Riaz Fatyana, Amir Muqam and Raza Hayat Hiraj (PML-Q) and S.A. He said he had asked the government to provide names of politicians with their party affiliation and non-political persons who had benefited from the NRO before seeking its approval from parliament.
S.A. Iqbal Qadri also expressed reservations on the passage of NRO in its present shape.
