Imran Khan undergoes surgery

LAHORE: Cricket-turned-politician Imran Khan had a surgery to remove obstruction in his small intestine on Monday.
Mr Khan was rushed to Shaukat Khanam Cancer Hospital (SKCH) after he felt a severe pain in the upper abdominal region on Monday morning.

Mr Khan was rushed to Shaukat Khanam Cancer Hospital (SKCH) after he felt a severe pain in the upper abdominal region on Monday morning.
According to a SKCH spokesman, doctors after carrying out necessary tests recommended an urgent surgery.
‘At 11am, surgeons successfully operated him upon and removed obstruction in his small intestine,’ said the spokesman.
‘Khan’s condition is now out of danger.’ He is in the ICU and has been advised to stay in the hospital for at least three days.
A large number of people from different walks of life visited the hospital to inquire after his health and prayed for his recovery.
