Gilani discusses terrorism, state issues with Taseer

LAHORE: Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said that no stone shall be left unturned to end terrorism and ensure soverignity of the parliament. He was speaking to the Governor of Punjab, Salman Taseer, at the State Guest House in Lahore on Sunday.
          
Gilani said that his party firmly believed that there was no system better than democracy to counter the rising terror threat. He said that the Pakistan Peoples’ Party had a long history of sacrifices for the cause of democracy and efforts will continue for the formation of a stable and strong government.

The prime minister said that issues of the state would be dealt with in consultation with all stakeholders and political parties.

Governor Salman Taseer appreciated the role played by the prime minister in formulating short and long term strategies to deal with the electricity crisis in Punjab.
