Four years after a devastating earthquake ravaged the lives of Pakistanis in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and the Northern Areas, killing over 73,000 people, many survivors await government assistance in the form of housing or employment. Towns and villages lie in limbo, awaiting the implementation of reconstruction and rehabilitation projects. And yet, people are slowing forgetting the natural disaster that shook the nation not so long ago. In memory of their plight, Dawn.com presents images from the Dawn Media Group's archives of that dreadful day. (Photos: Arif Mahmood/ White Star)
