SIALKOT: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) would soon launch a drive to bring maximum number of people under the tax net to increase the tax-to-GDP ratio.

This was revealed by the FBR officials, who, talking to Dawn, stressed the need for revamping the tax system on modern lines, incorporating techniques and policies prevalent in the developed countries.

They said that the present government had taken measures to restore confidence among the foreign investors to Pakistan through introducing the investment-friendly policies.  They said special package of incentives for the domestic and foreign investors on the cards.
