There lived a boy named Munir. He was eight years old. One day he asked his father to buy him a bicycle. His father agreed on the condition that the boy would have to pay Rs500 from his own pocket money.
After one month when he had saved Rs500 he informed his father about it. His father told him that they would go to buy the bicycle the next day when he would return from the office in the evening. The next day when Munir came from school he was so excited that he did not even take a nap after his lunch and waited for his father to come.
When everyone was resting in their rooms, some one rang the door bell. When Munir opened the door, he saw a very old man. The poor man narrated his sad tale and said that he and his family had not eaten a grain since the last two days. Munir felt very sad for him. The poor man asked Munir to help him. Munir was puzzled what to do as everyone was sleeping. Finally he took a decision, ran into his room, brought the money that he had saved for his bicycle and gave it to the poor man. Tears filled the poor man’s eyes and he said to Munir: “May Allah bless you and fulfil your wishes.”
In the evening when Munir's father returned from the office, Munir narrated the event. His father was pleased and said, “I am proud of you my son.”
The next day when Munir came from his school, he was surprised to see a sparkling sports bicycle waiting him in his room. At that time the poor man’s words came in his mind that “May Allah fulfil all your wishes.”
Munir’s mother told him that his father had bought the bicycle for him to appreciate his good deed. He thanked his father and went out on the bicycle for a ride.
