Mr Schedule was the most interesting and funny person living in our neighbourhood. It seemed he had perfect timing of doing every thing. Dad admired him as though he was the most famous and well known star of Bollywood. He was a middle aged man and lived a lonely life without anyone to take care or love him. He was not a friendly man but he used to give chocolates and gifts to kids on special occasions.
Everyone said he acted and worked like a robot. He wasn’t a lively man nor did he get excited easily but when on Halloween we kids dressed up as weirdo’s he seemed to be very happy.
One night I woke up with a strange feeling, I felt very thirsty and went to the kitchen for a glass of water. I was astonished to see multicoloured light coming from Mr Schedule’s kitchen window. A wave of excitement swept through my body. I took a torch and ran out to his house. The main door was not locked so I went inside. I crept to the kitchen door and peeked through the keyhole. A very amazing sight met my eyes. A sliver spaceship glowing with lights was standing there and near it stood five green slimy aliens! They were talking in a low voice but I could easily hear it. One was saying, “With all this information we could easily invade earth. Thanks to Sid,” he pointed to an alien who was grinning.
I was alarmed at the information I got. I ran back to my house to call the police. After explaining to them what the situation was I asked them to arrest those aliens. Then I went back to Mr Schedule’s house and started listening to the conversation that was going on between the aliens. Suddenly my head became dizzy as it was four in the night. Suddenly sleep overtook me and I leaned on the door that openeddue to the pressure. The aliens were surprised and stared at me open mouthed. One of them became angry and said, “So this filthy human was trying to destroy our plan, catch her!”
Suddenly the police appeared at the door. The aliens quickly fled. The next day day all the newspapers carried the news about the happenings of the night. I got a cheque of Rs50,000 from the government and a lot of praises and gifts from my family and relatives. Everyone said, “Ayesha is our Hero!”
