Hi kids,

I am sure you are all set for tomorrow, with your gifts and cards. And why shouldn’t you be, since it is a day for which you wait the whole year. It is the day to honour the most precious, most loved person in our lives; a day when we pay tribute to our mothers. No need to remind anyone that tomorrow is Mother’s Day, right?

Mother is the embodiment of love – no matter what happens she would always stand by her children and care for them. She loves them every moment of her life; soothes them when they are hurt; encourages them to move on when they are in a low mood; protects them from all harm.

Those of us who have such a person around us are indeed very lucky. But we should not forget that there are many who have lost their mothers. While planning your activities to celebrate this day take care that you do not hurt the feelings of someone who has been separated from his/her mother. Also take this day as an occasion to thank God for His blessings. And remember that though Mother’s Day is celebrated once a year it does not mean that we just remember our mothers on this day. I know many children these days take their mothers for granted and care little for their sentiments. Wouldn’t it be better if we take this day as a day to remind ourselves of all that our mothers have done for us all through our lives and promise ourselves to love and care for her all year round – every day of the year.

So why not give your mother a big hug today? Let there be another one tomorrow.

See you next week!

Bye
Ed
