Movie: The adventures of tom thumb and thumbelina
Discover a love story as the plot unravels itself into revealing a world of tiny people, which had once been ransacked by the giants (humans). It had been then that the princess and the prince of this unique world went missing.
Thumbelina (Jennifer Love Hewitt) was abducted up by a circus owner who is absolutely mean and horrible to his servants. Tom Thumb (Elijah Wood), on the other hand, is brought up by a gentleman who keeps him like his own son and Tom, too, loves him like his father. But the parting of ways comes sooner than Tom would have anticipated. The gentleman tells Tom to discover his own life and for that he must part with him. Just as Tom leaves his “Father” so does Thumbelina leave her circus owner and friends at the circus. The circus-monkey, her friend, had told her about how the circus owner had kidnapped Thumbelina from her world.
Thumbelina resolves to find her world and so does Tom; hence the two of them meet. But the union turns out to be short-lived because the two moles in service to the Blind Mole King (Peter Gallagher) come across Thumbelina and tip the king about a pretty creature they had witnessed. The king orders her capture since he wishes to marry her. And so the Mole’s hole is where Thumbelina lands. But luck is with her and she finds in captivity, a sparrow that helps her out of the hole. But their troubles were not yet over. But Thumbelina is again captured, this time by a kid who likes collecting peculiar creatures to perform experiments on them.
The sparrow luckily escapes and helps Thumbelina later. But this capture turns out to be a lucky one for Thumbelina since she reunites with Tom who too had been caught by the kid. They escape from here as well — thanks to Thumbelina’s genius plan. So will the two of them get married and live happily ever after? Considering the fact that the Mole king hasn’t given up his search for Thumbelina yet.
A wonderful animated movie with all the spices — comedy, romance, thrill, adventure, you name it and the movie has got it!
