Once upon a time, there lived many frogs in a pond. All the frogs were very friendly and behaved nicely except for one. That frog was very foolish. He would lose his temper on little things and would fight with other frogs. Due to this attitude all the frogs were angry with him. One day all the frogs decided to expel him from the pond.

That foolish frog came out of the pond and went to a nearby field and slept over there. A while later a snake crept out from the bushes and caught the sleeping frog.

That foolish frog begged the snake and said that if he would spare his life he would lead him to a place where many frogs lived.

The greed to devour many frogs led the snake to spare the foolish frog’s life. That stupid frog showed the greedy snake the way to the pond. Now whenever the snake felt hungry he would go to the pond and hunt a frog and eat it. The foolish frog thought that he had avenged himself for the way he was thrown out of the pond. In a few days the frogs that were in that pond became very alert. Now the snake got a very few hunts. One day the snake was very hungry. When he couldn’t find any frog in the pond he went to the field and caught the foolish frog. That foolish frog begged the snake for his life. But the snake paid no heed.

When there were a few seconds left for his life to end, the frog realised that he had committed a very big mistake and now he could not even apologise to his friends for his misdeed. He had been very foolish; he had befriended his own enemy against his brothers and now was going to lose his life. The frog hung his head in shame and waited for his end.
