A tribute to my father

 Dear Diary,
As I reminisce about my past, I see my father as the most reliable personality in my life. Many people can share your joy and happiness but there are very few who share your sorrows and problems.

My father is an ordinary man of an average height, not very slim and has a tanned complexion and dark curly hair, but what makes him extraordinary is his ability to fathom things and his comforting attitude. Everyone says that I am just like my father: mischievous yet conscientious and discerning. He is the ultimate role model for me. I look up to him whenever I am down or upset. I share even my slightest joy with him. He listens to my dilemmas and I can turn to him for help any time.

I often sit and ponder over why I can’t share my problems with my mother or sister. Why is my father my first choice in asking for help? Maybe because even in the darkest moments of my life my father is able to show me the light and boost my morale.

My father is a doctor; he helps his patients and tries his level best to help everyone in every possible way. I try to emulate all his good qualities. I admire the way he deals with problems and reacts to both joys and sorrows. I talk to him freely about everything. He is enduring, encouraging, benevolent and my greatest confidante.

He has taught me to apologise when it is my fault. He always told me that apologising for your mistake does not make you inferior in front of others rather it is a noble trait due to which people respect you in the long run.

My father has always followed certain principles in life. I have always found him to be kind and generous, helpful and co-operative and always optimistic in life. I surely want him to be like this forever. He has been a pillar of strength even when things go wrong and keeps smiling even when stressed out.

He is my strength and his strength is his family. I always wanted to tell my papa how proud I am to be his daughter, how amazing it is to have a father like him, loving, caring, optimistic, innovative and incredibly great. Whenever I turn back I see him standing with me, I know he will always support, understand and encourage me. As for me, I also want to do the same for him as he is someone truly deserving.
