Neglecting the future
I would like to draw the attention of those parents here who are too busy to give time to their children. What does a child want from his/her parents? Attention, peaceful atmosphere and love. If parents can’t provide these basic needs a child can fall prey to several complexes.

I would like to request those parents who are too busy with other responsibilities that they should take time out to give their children the love and attention they need or else they might lose them forever.

Hamara Karachi
The Hamara Karachi campaign has really made Karachiites proud. It is the first time that I feel that Karachi itself is being promoted. Previously all I heard was ‘parha likha Punjab’, ‘mehfooz Punjab’, ‘harabhara Punjab’, etc. It made me feel neglected that why was Punjab and not Pakistan being promoted?

The Hamara Karachi events that are being held throughout the city have made us all feel proud about being citizens of a historic city that also holds an incredible fusion of cultures. This has also cleared the negative image of Karachi as it was thought to be the centre of terrorism. This event has given a message that Karachi can conduct special events safely and enthusiastically. Although some people claim that it is a waste of money, it sure has brought Karachiities close together.

Students’ dilemma

The government has announced that examinations of class ninth and metric will be conducted together. This has troubled every student. For private school students it will not be as difficult as it will be for the students who study in government schools. Everyone is aware of the conditions of government schools. Most students who study there belong to families that cannot afford tuitions or coaching centres.

I would like to request the authorities concerned to understand the plight of most students and reconsider this decision.
