Super sis
Dear Super Sis,
I am a 13-year-old girl. I have been facing this problem for two years. There is this group of four mischievous girls who always try to degrade me and they sometimes try to use me. Two of the girls are position holders and they achieve their goal by cheating and other unfair means. They also compelled me to cheat when I was new here. Actually we shifted here two years ago.
My other problem is that in my class everyone cheats and I’m strictly against it. I also complained to some of my subject teachers, but they paid no heed to it; instead they try to help them. When this is the situation, what about all the hardwork that I do. Wasted of course! Please help!

M, don’t panic. This world is full of nasty people and you are facing a very common situation where a bunch of mean girls are trying to put you down. Well, if you are finding it hard to fight back, just steer clear of them and hang around other girls. They’re just bullies and they get nastier when they move around in groups. From now onwards, try seating yourself at a distance from them. Ignore them when they tease you and don’t take their nasty remarks to heart.
Remember, bullies like hurting people, and if you show them you are getting hurt, you will serve their purpose and they will trouble you even more. The best way, therefore, is to just be curt and cool with them and treat them like they do not exist. As far as cheating is concerned, this is a serious issue. The best way to tackle it is to let your folks know what is going on, and ask them to have an official sit-down with your teachers or have them complain directly to the principal. Once this problem is taken to the higher authorities, it will get noticed. If your school administration does not comply, you can consider changing schools, but keep that as a last resort. Good luck!
