Superman — also known as "The Man of Steel" — is a fictional character regarded as the most influential and popular superhero of Detective Comics. Created by Canadian artist Joe Shuster and American writer Jerry Siegel in 1932, Superman first appeared in Action Comics #1 (June 1938) and subsequently appeared in various radio serials, television programmes, films, newspaper strips and video games. He has since become one of the world's most recognised superheroes. Today the character's adventures are also published in a number of comic books. Some of his nicknames include "The Man of Steel" (his most famous), "The Man of Tomorrow", "The Last Son of Krypton" and "Metropolis' Favourite Son".
Batman
Batman is one of the most popular superheroes of all-time. He first appeared in 1939 in Detective Comics. Batman is a rich socialite named Bruce Wayne, who as a young child watched his parents be murdered by a robber. When he grew up he vowed to fight crime. Unlike most superheroes, he does not possess any superhuman powers or abilities; he makes use of intellect, detective skills, technology, and physical prowess in his war on crime.
Spiderman
Spiderman is a fictional superhero created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko. First appearing in Amazing Fantasy #15 (August 1962) he has become, along with Superman and Batman, one of the world's most popular enduring and recognisable superheroes.
Spiderman's early stories broke ground by attempting to relate to readers with a teenaged character who is not a sidekick but a hero himself and who balances his personal struggles with his heroic exploits.
They are strong, brave, handsome and smart. They are gifted with supernatural powers. Our animated protagonists are simply loving and loveable. They have set examples for us to be good human beings by serving humanity through their physical and mental abilities. There are a number of popular lead characters in different animated movies who make us feel happy, sad and sometimes surprised.
Dennis the Menace
Dennis the Menace has, for over 50 years, captured the mischievous, rambunctious, anarchic worldview of a kid better than any other cartoon strip. It is the most hilariously observed and empathetic comic strip ever drawn about adulthood — with a sly humour that kids identify with and parents nod knowingly and ruefully at.
Aladdin
Aladdin is one of the classic Disney heroes — born and raised among a den of villains, yet brave, intelligent, clean, steadfast, and quick-witted, even if he happens to be a street thief at the moment. In short, he's a diamond in the rough.
The animators' portrayal of Aladdin is not typical of Disney; his eyes are large, like those of a Disney heroine, and the lineaments of his body are freer flowing and more rounded than is usual for Disney heroes. The biggest difference from the norm is that, unlike most youthful Disney heroes, he's a doer rather than a passive character; in this respect he closely resembles Peter Pan from four decades earlier.
Johny Bravo
Johnny Bravo is a boorish character who constantly searches for a woman willing to date him, but when he seems to find one, something goes wrong. Johnny Bravo looks and sounds like Elvis Presley. He is incredibly narcissistic and dim-witted. He lives in the fictional town of Aron City (Aron being Elvis's middle name). The cartoon was created by Van Partible.
Richie Rich
Richie Rich is a fictional character who debuted in Harvey Comics' Little Dot #1 in 1953. Known as The Poor Little Rich Boy or The Richest Kid in the World, Richie Rich appeared in many comic book titles in the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s including Richie Rich Millions (1961) and Richie Rich Dollars & Cents (1963). The comic book series was created by cartoonist and publisher Alfred Harvey.
Richie is the only child of fantastically wealthy parents. He lives and works in an expensive mansion and owns at least two of everything money could buy. He appears to be around 7-10 years old, wears a waistcoat and blue shorts and occasionally attends school in his hometown of Richville. Richie is portrayed as a kind young man not conceited despite his incredible wealth. The most important thing in Richie's life is his friends.
