Get crafty this summer

By Izzah Zainab

This article is for the future artist! Art is fun and easy if you practice. The following are some dazzling crafts for you to make.

Out of focus pictures
First, you need three felt tip pens. Make sure that the tips are all lined up, and levelled.

Tape them together! (See picture 1)

Start to draw a picture — making sure that all the pens are touching the paper. (Picture 2)

You will end up with an out of focus picture. (Picture 3)

Rub out pictures

First, use a stick of charcoal to cover a piece of white paper.

Then create a picture using a rubber.

Just simply rub out the charcoal with the rubber, to reveal the white paper underneath.

Just keep rubbing out with different rubbers. If you rub off a bit too much, you can easily put it back on again with charcoal.

And there you have it — a rub out picture.

Try it yourself!
