One night, as usual, I was taking my night walk when I heard a strange sound coming from the alley. At first I ignored it, thinking that it must be a cat or a dog. But then, as the sound become louder, I started feeling scared and decided to go back home. But then curiosity overcame my fear, and I decided to check out what it was. As I peeped into the alley, a fearful sight met my eyes. A vampire was standing there drinking the blood of… a dog! I was horrified to see a live vampire right in front of my eyes. I wanted to run away but my legs felt numb and were not willing to move.
The vampire must have realised someone’s presence, so he looked up only to see me standing there! Seeing that I was frightened, he started laughing, blood dripping from his mouth. “I am not going to eat you my dear boy, but you'll have to come with me,” he said. He then took hold of my hand and started flying towards the sky.
It all happened so fast that I could not do anything, and the next moment we were flying in the air. I asked him, “Mister, please can you tell me where are you taking me, and why?”
He smiled and answered, “Kid, you are the first person who has seen me, so I have to take you with me or else you will blab to everyone about me, and the next thing we'll know is that the whole world will be trying to catch me. So I am taking you to the Vampire Castle, which is my home.” I was alarmed, and scary thoughts started entering my mind.
At last, after a long journey we reached Vampire Castle. It looked very spooky from the outside, but when I went inside a beautiful sight met my eyes. The walls were made of gold, there were magnificent paintings hanging on them, and in front of me was the most marvellous hall I had ever seen. The vampire told me to sit in the hall while he called his family. I sat on one of the chairs, and a servant came to offer me a glass of blood. I looked away in disgust, it might have been wonderful, but it was still a Vampire Castle! After some time, the vampire came back, followed by other vampires. The other vampires were a bit strange, their faces were chalk-white and teeth were very long, unlike the vampire I had met who was actually quite good-looking. The vampire introduced me to his family and I shook hands with every single one of them. They weren't bad, and I started to like them a bit.
We talked for some time, and then it was finally time for dinner. I was very hungry but unfortunately for dinner there were things like a pig's head, an alligator's intestine and drinks made from fresh blood. Realising that they had a human guest for dinner, the vampires ordered the servant to bring some cheese burgers and lemonade for me. I was simply delighted, and ate my burgers and drank my lemonade cheerfully. While eating, they asked me about my home and my parents. I told them everything about myself, where I lived and who my parents were. After dinner, it was time for everyone to sleep, and the vampire took me to my room. The room was very cosy, the bed was extremely soft and I slept blissfully. The next morning I woke up and saw all the little vampires gathered around my bed. They told me to wash myself, dress up and come down for breakfast. After breakfast, all the vampires and I went to ‘The Vampire Amusement Park.’ The park was just fantastic; it had all kinds of rides and other games. We spent a lot of time over there and had a lot of fun, and then we returned to Vampire Castle.
I spent two days filled with fun, at the castle, but then I started to miss my parents, and I knew they would be worried about me. I told the vampires about this and promised never to tell anyone anything about them, if they let me go. They didn't agree at first, but after much pleading, they finally agreed. The vampire, who had brought me to the castle, took me back to my home. On the way, he gave me an old necklace and told me to take good care of it. It would remind me not to tell anyone anything about him or the other vampires.
It has been a year now, since I met the vampires and I still have that necklace. Whenever I look at it, it reminds me of my adventurous meeting with the vampires.
