We can make a difference

By Maahim Rizwan

Pakistan was created after a tough struggle. The Quaid-i-Azam fought against cruel Indians and clever Britishers for us. But today we find our youth leaving this land in search of greener pastures. Is this how we repay our forefathers for their struggles?

Everyone is going abroad. Just think if all of us leave our homeland, then who will lead our country onto the path of progress? Who will take care of this great nation? Just think.

A friend of mine says, “What do we have here? England is much better. Pakistan is a very dirty country. No one likes to live here. If any country wages a war on Pakistan, then I will leave it forever.”

This is the love that we have in our hearts for Pakistan.

Another friend says, “I hate the people who go abroad, but in my opinion, they enlighten Pakistan’s name.” She is right to some extent but if all talented people leave who will develop Pakistan?

There are some people who say that there is no honesty here. The country is a mess. It is not the place the Quaid envisioned. It has changed. Well, all I can say to this is that if we correct ourselves we can fulfil the Quaid’s dream and make Pakistan what it was meant to be. Pakistan Zindabad!
