RECIPE: Cool down with cold beverages

Cool down during the hot summer days with these chilled beverages. The recipes mentioned below have flavour, taste, nutrition and energy for these sizzling summers. So enjoy !

Ice cream shake

Ingredients:
1 glass milk, chilled
1 scope ice cream (any flavour)
1 tsp sugar or to taste
1 cherry
1 slice pineapple


Method:
Pour milk in the blender, add sugar and blend for a minute till sugar dissolves in milk; add ice cream and blend just for five to ten seconds. The Ice cream shake is ready. Pour in a glass — carefully make a small cut in the cherry and place it on the edge of glass — do the same with the pineapple slice and place it on the edge of the glass; add straw and serve chilled.

 



Meethi lassi

Ingredients:
3/4 glass milk
2 tbsp yoghurt
2 tsp sugar or to taste
2 tbsp cream (optional)
Crushed ice as required

Method:
Pour milk in the blender, add yoghurt, sugar and ice and blend very well. Lastly add cream and blend for two to three seconds. Yummy, delicious and nutritious lassi is ready. Pour in a glass and serve chilled.
 



Cool milk

Ingredients
1 glass milk
1 tbsp almonds, chopped
1/2 tbsp pistachio, chopped
1 tbsp sugar or to taste
1 or 2 drops green rose essence
Crushed ice as required

Method:
Blend all ingredients very well and pour in a glass — yummy cool milk is ready to serve.
 



Watermelon drink

Ingredients
1 cup water melon pieces chopped
1 tsp sugar or to taste
1 drop food colour “red”
1/2 glass water chilled
1/2 bottle soda chilled

Method
Pour water in the blender, add sugar and watermelon pieces and red food colour and blend well. Pour it in the glass, add soda and lightly mix with a spoon. Serve immediately. Enjoy this very delicious, cool drink.
