Poets’ Corner

Summer vacations

At last came the days of splashing
The days of swimming
The days of getting sweaty and icing
The days to sleep in bed and dream all day long
To play badminton and ping pong
The days where u don’t have to study
And can play in mud and water and get muddy
But do make these days worthwhile
By playing, learning and eating mouthful...!

Harry Potter

In Harry’s first year,
He saved the philosopher’s stone
From Voldemort’s clutches without fear,
In his second year, Chamber of the secrets was the trouble,
Because of him, Ron and Hermoine,
Hagrid’s reputation was not reduced to rubble
In his third year, Sirius Black turns out to be his godfather,
This tells Harry that he has someone
Who cares for him after his father and mother,
In his fourth year, Harry is asked to dance with a girl,
He dances with Parvati Patil whose hairs were in curls,
In his fifth year, Voldemort attacked Harry again,
And the new security measures began,
In Harry’s sixth year, Dumbledore dies,
When Harry is questioned about the death, he lies,
I don’t know anything about Harry’s seventh year,
Whether it would pass in happiness or fear!

Life

I am describing you what is life
There is some sorrow and some smile
It is beautiful as a flower
It is painful as a war
It is bright as a light
It is dark as a night
It is complex as a brain
It is hurry as a train
It is unreliable as a parrot
It is lovely as a carrot
In short I want to say
It is nothing without a way.

The temptation

I was walking slowly along the road.
It was quiet and dark,
All I could see were old houses,
Not a window broken.
They look so tempting,
I just can’t resist it.
I pick up a stone,
And crash!
The whole street is awake,
They’re all looking at me,
There are faces everywhere.
I’m getting scared,
I don’t know which way to turn.
Then I run straight down the hill.
As fast as I can.
They’re all pushing me away.

Lost somewhere

Sitting silently in the dry deserts,
I waited patiently for one drop of water.
Walking on scattered thorns.
I felt the soft touch of rosy petals.
Stepping happily in the ground of sacrifice,
I found my heart’s consolation.
Drowning in the sea of sorrows,
I floated for the sake of life.
Facing the selfish autumn of the year,
I enjoyed my rare spring of the year.
Burning vigorously in the flame of death,
I met the reality of life.

Pet

I have a pet
A small white cat
She plays with me
With a ball and bat
She sleeps with me
And sits on a mat
I love my cat
A sweet white cat.

Fruits

An apple a day
Keeps the doctor away
An orange a day
Refreshes the day
Peaches, plums and mangoes are sweet
These are the fruits I love to eat
Eating fruits keep us health
And when we have health, we are wealthy!

Seasons

There are four seasons
Summer, winter, autumn, spring
Every season has many reasons
In summer we have many holidays,
And we can enjoy at beach
That is situated within our reach
We can eat ice-cream.
And put on sunscreen
When winter comes
Everybody has frozen thumbs
This season is full of cold
And all the sweaters are sold
When autumn comes
The trees become bald
And have no health.
When spring comes,
The flowers become colourful
The trees become wonderful.
These are the reasons for every season
Seasons are beautiful and always colourful.

I wish

If I could have wings to fly!
I would have gone high in the sky
Not hanging in traffic jams
But to move like a butterfly!
After saying every one “bye bye”.
