Pakistan Day parade
Since I was a child I and my friends used to be very excited about Pakistan Day because on that day the Pakistan Day parade was held. The wonderful heroics of our jet fighter planes used to be the highlight of the whole event and then the next day we used to discuss the event and how it was. Good happy old days, but this time I was shocked to learn that the parade had been cancelled. Don’t we as the citizens have the right to ask why this step was taken? The pride of our nation is reflected in such events and they are very important for our young generation. It’s very sad to know that because of our government’s policies we were denied to relive those vital moments of our history.

Importance of trees
Trees are very important for us as they are considered the “lungs of nature”. They provide oxygen to living beings for respiration, purify the atmosphere and decrease pollution. We get different kinds of fruits as well as wood from trees, which is used for making furniture and sports goods. Wood is also used for making houses in hilly areas. Trees also protect soil from erosion.

They affect the climate and cause rainfall. Thus they protect land from becoming a desert. The leaves of trees after falling are converted into humus which is a natural fertilizer. They are a source of greenery and give beautiful flowers. Thus they add to the beauty of any location and make our life colourful. Trees provide shade in summer. Many birds make nests in trees. W should thank God for blessing us with trees.

Despite such benefits people cut down trees which is not a good practice. We should take care of them and not cut them so that our environment remains cleans and we reap other benefits as well.
