Teenagers and the chat world

I would like to draw the attention towards the gloomy side of using the computer. This is a major cause of concern for parents whose children chat with unknown people on the Internet. Some parents even don’t bother to know whom their child is talking to.

Chatting with strangers is very risky as one does not know who the other person is. One can even meet potential stalkers and children can fall prey to various criminal activities.

Suicidal teenagers

Cases of teenage suicide are increasing. One hears and reads about these cases quite often in the newspapers. Just recently a 17-year-old girl committed suicide, just because she had a heated argument on a very trifling matter with her mother. There was another case of a 15-year-old boy who committed suicide because his father scolded him for not paying attention to his studies and hanging out with friends. We just don’t go and jump off a building because we don’t have our way.

Today’s teenagers get emotional very easily and are over-sensitive about petty things and in sheer frustration take their lives when things don’t work out.

Just because someone doesn’t listen to you does not mean you should end your life. Most teenagers feel that these are no serious problems that should lead one to commit suicide. One should have strong faith in God as it can change one’s destiny and can make one come out of difficult situations. Positive thinking also helps a person. Our religion also strictly prohibits taking ones life as life is a precious gift of God, and it is He who has the power to take our lives away and we should not interfere in His ways.

Our buses

In almost all the developed countries of the world, people of all backgrounds, rich or poor use buses frequently, but in Karachi it has become a concept that only people with light weighed pockets use this means of transport. The reason is that the buses in our country are in very poor condition. Therefore most people prefer to use private transport. That is why the number of private cars is increasing day by day which results in traffic problems and chaos on the roads. Students going to colleges and schools have no choice but to take buses and bear with a bumpy ride all the way to their destination.

These bus drivers also don’t care about traffic rules, and the traffic policeman turns a deaf ear to these irresponsible acts. The government should do something about this problem in our society.
