Young World

December 18, 2004

Hi kids!

The year 2004 is about to end. Looking back it seems as if it was only the other day that we were sending New Year greetings, taking stock of the year gone by, making resolutions for the New Year. And now again it's time to make preparations to welcome another Year. Another two weeks and the date will change to 2005. How time flies.

At the beginning of each year we plan to do a lot of things but as the year comes to an end we begin to think that a lot remains to be done and not much time is left. And it often happens that whatever time is left we waste in regret and remorse.

The year has 365 days. We think we have enough time, but then find ourselves complaining that we didn’t have enough time. If we procrastinate and spend our time in idle wondering, our plans will remain unaccomplished. Wouldn't it be better if we started working out things from the very beginning and didn't wait till the last minute?

It is like you know your exams will be held in December and you have to prepare for them but you ignore your studies saying you still have enough time and when the exam date comes, you rush to your books and realize that a lot has to be done in a very limited period. At this point you realize that if you had studied from the start, you wouldn't have been in such a situation.

So for the next year don't leave things pending, do them as and when they have to be done. At the end of the year you wouldn't be complaining that you couldn't complete your tasks.

Take care. See you next week!
Bye!
Ed
