Feel the beauty around...
Dear Diary!
It’s been a long time since my feet touched this beautiful land. It’s been years since I experienced these pure surroundings. The breeze flows through my hair blessing me with its freshness like it is welcoming an old friend. I can feel the wet soft green grass under my feet. I can hear the songs of the river; I can remember the time when we used to sit on a stone, with the gushing water touching my feet. The water had a unique coolness.
I can hear the birds singing and flying here and there. I remember when we climbed the tree and teased the little birds. My family came here every year during holidays and we had a lot of fun. It was time for dinner but I preferred the pure delicious fruits of that place. They tasted the same as they had tasted a few years ago. A small child gave me a rose whose softness reminded me of the time when we plucked red roses. Everybody then went to a nearby zoo.
I did not go, I kept sitting to feel my surroundings and remembered my colourful childhood. My past was so full of colours, so beautiful, every colour had its own story hidden behind it. The blue sky, the green grass, colourful roses and purple mountains. But I feel that one thing has changed and that is that I never felt the beauty of these things as deeply as I do now. I just saw them without feeling anything. I am aware of these things now and feel them more deeply because God has taken away my sight. I remember everything about this place. I believe it is the same but the difference is that I feel these things more deeply now.
As we all can’t see the breeze but it gives us a strange feeling of happiness. The same goes for everything around me. It’s a strange feeling which I had never experienced before the accident took place . So I hope that all my friends feel the beauty around them. This feeling will bring a strange happiness as you are lucky to be able to see this beautiful world around you. Your joy will be doubled as you will both see and feel the beauty that God has bestowed all around us. Just close your eyes and feel the depth and you will realize that God is great.
