POETS’ CORNER

Summers
Everyday of June is boiling,
Everyone and everybody is shouting,
To switch on the AC and to have ice cream.
It’s getting hot,everyone’s shouting,
Today is 42 and yesterday was 40,
Oh God! It has increased.
What are we going to do,
Feeling so drowsy and nothing wanted to do;
When will the rain start and would beat the heat,
No one can wait,
To have a rainfall,
And then everywhere there would be water;
And no one will go to pool,
To beat the heat and to get cool!

Sidra Jamil, 13 years,Karachi.

Snow flakes
Snow flakes, snow flakes,
Falling from the sky,
Glimmering, shimmering in the sunlight,
Covering wrapping the world to white.
Now it’s night, now it’s night
Snow flakes are glowing, gleaming in the night
Sparkling, twinkling like the stars in the sky.

Before the time flies away
Time will never stay for long,
When you tell it to stay,
Do the work just in time,
Before the time flies away.
The rise and falls are always happening,
But nothing changes just in way,
Do the work just in time,
Before the time flies away.
Never leave the work for tomorrow,
Always do it on the same day,
Do the work just in time,
Before the time flies away.
Following the path of others,
Will never lead you on your way,
Do the work just in time,
Before the time flies away.
‘Today’ always remains the same,
It is something like a ray,
Do the work just in time,
Before the time flies away.
If the work is not done in time,
You will only have to pay,
Do the work just in time,
Before the time flies away.
Long, long ago someone said,
This world would be just as gay,
If you did your work on time,
Without letting it to fly away.

Childhood poem
When I was a kid
I remember my dad was always with me
When I was a kid
I remember my mom helping me with my homework
When I was a kid
I remember my brother playing with me all the time
When I was a kid
I remember my sister getting new clothes for me
But now that I am older
No one cares anymore.

My achievement
When the teacher announced,
That I have come first,
Out of my eyes,
Tears of happiness burst.
I could not believe it!
It looked liked a dream,
My heart become diamond,
That had fist melted to cream.
All my sacrifices,
All my hard work,
Had brought in my life,
This sudden jerk.
With a smile on my face,
I went to the stage,
The girl who used to be first before,
Had become and with rage.
I was presented with a certificate,
And congratulated by everyone,
It seemed that there was,
Everything I had won.
So never get disappointed,
If you lose once or twice,
There is always a chance,
For people who are hardworking and nice.

What to do?
I am feeling very very angry,
I don’t know what to do?
Blast my head with a wall or something,
Beat myself or you?
I am feeling very very angry,
I don’t know what to do?
Kill myself or someone else,
What else? What else? what else?
I am feeling very very angry,
I don’t know what to do?
Nobody, disturb me and dare,
Everybody beware!
I am feeling very very angry,
I don’t know what to do?
Split all my anger in this poem,
I not getting a single clue?
I am feeling very very angry,
Are you

After reading this stupid poem too!

Wish
I wish to have a doll
Her face like a ball
I wish that she talks to me
Whenever I am free
I like to sit on a rock
And make a house of block
I like many pictures of doll
And stick it on the wall
I’ll make some clothes for my doll
I wish to make a car for doll
On which she sits and go to the hall
I like to brush her hair
And wash her face to make clean and fair
If I have a doll like this
I will make some tasty dish
I don’t like to loose this doll
I love this doll like all.
