Recipe: Cool drink for hot summer

Summers are here and once again the temperature is on the rise. In this weather everyone wants to drink something refreshing. We all are attracted towards cold drinks which are mostly carbonated drinks and are not good for health. So, here are some easy ways of making healthy drinks at home in a very short time.

Melon drink


Ingredients
One water melon

Method
Cut the water melon in small pieces after removing the skin and then remove the seeds using a fork. When all the seeds are removed, grind it in a grinder for ten to twelve minutes. Creamy melon drink is ready.

Melon drink is the easiest and most convenient drink that one can make at home without much hassle. Serves 5.

 

Almond drink


Ingredients

2 cup almonds
2-3 drops almond essence
1 cup sugar


Method
Boil almonds in two cup water for a few minutes because it is easier to peel their skin after boiling. Now peel them and then put them in a grinder — pour three to four cups water in it and grind them until a soft and creamy mixture is formed. Add vanilla essence and mix by using a spoon.

Add ice in it and pour the mixture in glasses to serve. You can also put a scope of vanilla ice cream in ech glass.

Serves four.

 

Falsa juice


Ingredients

1/2 kg falsa
1/2 litre water
2 cups sugar


Methods
Wash falsa properly. Put them in a grinder and pour one glass water in it so that falsa are properly soaked in water. Grind it for ten to twelve minutes until a soft and creamy mixture is formed. Add sugar and grind again. Now add the remaining water to the mixture.

Filter the juice to remove seeds which are not grounded. A beautifully coloured falsa drink is ready to serve.

Serves 6.
